Improving K-12 Education

The Donnell-Kay Foundation’s approach to improving K-12 education is primarily focused on fostering an ecosystem of innovative learning environments. We believe that meaningful change in education requires bold thinking and a willingness to challenge the limitations of the traditional school model. From independent microschools to district-led learner-centered spaces, we are exploring ways in which Colorado’s learning environments are pushing boundaries. Across Colorado, we hope to elevate models that prioritize flexibility and relevance that will ultimately help young people thrive in our ever-changing world.
