Ariela Rozman and Rameisha Johnson will share lessons learned from their work at EdNavigator, a New Orleans-based nonprofit organization that helps families give their children an excellent education. Launched in August 2015, EdNavigator partners with local employers to provide personalized educational support as a benefit to employees. Participating employees are paired with expert Navigators who help them choose schools, understand their child’s progress, support learning at home, and advocate for their children’s needs. Navigators bring to their work an insider’s perspective on schools, deep roots in their communities, and a fierce commitment to ensuring families reach their goals. Ariela and Rameisha will discuss EdNavigator’s approach and what they’ve learned working hand-in-hand with families across New Orleans over the past year.
